Direct Flame Roasting
The flame of burning oak wood is pushed directly into the coffee beans as the drum holding the beans turns round. The flame roasts the coffee beans and gives the beans a scent of natural Italian oak. This is the unique way in which coffee is roasted by our 1952 direct flame coffee roasting Victoria. The powerful flame produced by the stove, is managed by our Master Roasters to precisely produce the our unique roast.
Probably the last remaining direct flame coffee roasting Victoria of its time using wood, the machine still produces great coffee after sixty five years of service.
